We listen, act, and transform
You keep asking yourself: Why do I feel so disconnected? Maybe you’re caught in cycles of overthinking and worry. Maybe you’re questioning your faith or processing the pain of changing beliefs. Or maybe the pressures from school, work, or family has pushed you to the edge of burnout. On the outside, you look fine—inside, you carry doubt, guilt, and shame. I work with clients navigating anxiety, depression, and the weight of life stress. Whatever the struggle, you’re tired of feeling trapped and never being enough. I know what it’s like to look like you’ve got it all together on the outside while inside you’re carrying doubt, guilt, and anger.
I specialize in anxiety related to perfectionism, social situations, and performance, religious trauma and spiritual struggles, and burnout or major life transitions.
For some clients, this means easing the anxiety surrounding self-criticism, social stress, and the pressure to perform. For others, it’s untangling pain from church experiences, spiritual abuse, or deconstruction. And for many, it’s unburdening academic, career, or family expectations that fuel burnout and depression.
I use Internal Family Systems, ACT, and person-centered therapies to help clients reduce anxiety and depression, work through shame, and rebuild a stronger sense of identity. I see clients in person at Downtown Therapy Associates in Huntsville and offer secure telehealth anywhere in Alabama, with a sliding scale available. I am an Associate Licensed Counselor (ALC) practicing under the supervision of Lindsay Burleson, LPC-S. I offer free 15 minute consult calls.
